Hypoallergenic & Non Shedding Dogs – New Breeds

Yesterday I found some new breeds to add into my list of non-shedding and hypoallergenic dogs.  Great stuff – even more choice for you!

One is a definite addition – the Hairless Khala.  This is a  South American dog similar to the Peruvian Inca Orchid and Mexican Hairless, but has been recognised as a separate breed.  As hairless and crested breeds are all really good for people with allergies,  this went into my ‘definite’ list yesterday.

The other pure breed I found which is claimed to be non-shedding and hypoallergenic is the Polish Lowland Sheepdog.  It’s a medium sized breed a bit like an Old English Sheepdog, but smaller in size with a slightly more wavy , slightly shorter and fluffier coat.  It’s a really cute looking little thing!  This is now in my list of’ possibles’.  As it is a coated breed it must be verified by a kennel club to go into my ‘definite’ list.

If anyone has one of these dogs get in touch to tell me more, and if you know of any kennel club which accepts the Polish Lowland Sheepdog as hypoallergenic/non-shedding.

In response to demand my list now shows which dogs are specifically classed as non-shedding and also what size they are too.

I’m also making my my report on non-shedding/hypoallergenic dogs shorter and crisper but the great content will remain the same.
