New Hairless Dogs!
These breeds could be hard to come by as they are very primitive, very specialised and not often classified or accepted by national Kennel Clubs. However, they do exist and there might be some people outside the countries of origin breeding them.
You might have to look hard for them, but if like me you’re into a bit of ground-breaking, being the first person to get one (or two) and starting up a new breed in your country might light your fire.
The one warning is that primitive breeds can tend to require more experienced dog owners. They might not be great for first-timers. However they might be good for people who have already owned a dog, but are having to dive into the world of non-shedding, hypoallergenic and low allergy dogs for the first time.
So here are the new additions:
- The Manchurian Hairless Dog
- The Peruvian Hairless Dog (not the same as the Peruvian Inca Orchid), and
- The Ecuadorian Hairless Dog
But that’s what this is all about. Learning more every day.
